On the 100th episode, the one where Phoebe gives birth, Phoebe had a line that was “that’s easy for you to say, I don’t see three babies coming out of your vagina”. However the network had asked that they avoided using the word “vagina” so on the day they were shooting the episode, the writers were busy trying to come up with another word for vagina.
Marta Kauffman came to the actors and explained that’s what they were doing. After she rejoined the writers, Matt LeBlanc (Joey) said “we just called it a dick-ditch”. The other 5 laughed really hard and Matthew Perry (Chandler) dared Lisa Kudrow (phoebe) to actually say “dick-ditch”. The other actors shipped in and offered Lisa money to say it. She has said in an interview that that was something people would expect from either one of the Matts , but not her. She hesitated but, since the audience was 16+, and people were paying her, she figured why not.
The writers eventually decided to just go with “vagina” but on the set, on the first take, Lisa Kudrow said “that’s easy for you to say, I don’t see three babies coming out of your dick ditch!”. The audience went crazy, everyone laughed, even the writers. Lisa made some money. This isn’t in the bloopers. Lisa talks about it in an interview, after Matthew suggesting she would.
